Sustainability

The best way to shop sustainably isn’t to buy something brand new that claims to be sustainably made. It is to choose to buy something that’s been upcycled.

Why Upcycle?

When you add a rescued and upcycled garment to your wardrobe instead of a newly created one, significant environmental savings are made from avoiding production, processing, and disposal. By choosing upcycled, you help conserve water, reduce waste, and lower CO2 emissions. Reusing 1 kg of clothing saves 25 kg of CO2, and 3,600 liters of water are saved per pair of Un Denim.

Our Commitment

We rescue denim every single day and we’re never going to stop. A huge world of good things go into making great denim come to life. At Un Denim, we upcycle denim that has years left to live, building on the resources that went into it the first time around. Our green pockets are cut from factory surplus denim and stitched with recycled polyester threads.

What About Our Production-Related Waste?

To begin with, we keep our production lean. We order exactly what we need so that nothing goes to waste. By choosing upcycled, you become the proud owner of a brand new fashion statement without the huge manufacturing-related environmental costs associated with new clothes. Our production waste is minimal because we don’t create our products from scratch, and we also recycle our by-product waste.

Packaging Material

Un Denim is only delivered in compostable bags or recyclable paper bags. Reuse them as much as you can before you decide to recycle or compost.

At Un Denim, we are dedicated to creating a positive impact on the environment through upcycling and sustainable practices. Join us in making a difference, one piece of denim at a time.
